ADMISSIONS POLICIES

  • Recommendations

Recommendation forms are sent to three individuals named by the appli-cant on the application for admission in this catalog. They should include the student's pastor, a former educator, and an employer or businessman. The form is designed to reflect the character, personality, and activities of the applicant.

  • Admittance Policy

All candidates for admission must give satisfactory evidence of knowing Christ as Lord and Saviour. They should have a genuine desire to be obedient to the will of God. Candidates must demonstrate good character, personal in-tegrity, and academic ability.

Students are admitted to Bible Baptist College without regard to race, color, or national origin.

  • Academic Requirements

A limited number of applicants will be admitted without a high school diploma provided they meet the following requirements:

    1. They must be above the ordinary high school age.
    2. They must be capable of meeting the academic standards of Bible Baptist College.
    3. They must pursue the diploma or the G.E.D. equivalent.

It is preferred that the applicant submit scores from the American College Test (A.C.T.) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (S.A.T.). Information on these tests may be secured from a high school guidance counselor, or directly from the American College Testing Program, Box 168, Iowa City, Iowa.

  • Transfers

Students transferring from other colleges should request an official transcript from each college attended since high school. A transcript must be sent directly to Bible Baptist College from the previous institution.

Credit will be given for satisfactory work (C or above) which corresponds to the curriculum of Bible Baptist College provided the work was taken in a recognized college or university. All students must complete a minimum of one full year in residence at Bible Baptist College. The last semester of work must be taken at Bible Baptist College.

  • Returning Students

Students returning to the college  from previous years must have made satisfactory settlement of their accounts at the business office before being admitted.
